Sauerbruch Hutton
Louisa Hutton and Matthias Sauerbruch studied at the Architectural Association in London and in 1989 established their office for architecture, urban development and design, combining function with sensuality and environmental sustainability. Their buildings include the Federal Environmental Agency in Dessau, the Museum Brandhorst in Munich and the GSW Head Offices in Berlin, part of MoMA’s architecture collection.
Their Munich Lounge Chair comes from the seating they developed for the Museum Brandhorst, taken to series production by ClassiCon in close collaboration with the architects and tested to withstand public use.
