Piega Mirror Object Small

Designed by Victoria Wilmotte

With Piega, French designer Victoria Wilmotte brings an object of unusual crystalline elegance and astonishing geometry to living environments. The mirror-polished stainless steel makes the surface of the object look like transparent mirrored surfaces. The bends and folds that gave Piega its name create a fascinating play with the refraction of light and colour reflections in any room. With its three-dimensional structure, Piega thus becomes a vivid object.

ClassiCon

ClassiCon offer modern classics that are collector’s items—not only the masterpieces of yesterday, but of tomorrow as well. ClassiCon’s collection aims to produce individual pieces of great originality and formal perfection. Displaying the kind of value that lasts, ClassiCon collection pieces are destined to become coveted investments for future generations. ClassiCon has from its inception aspired not only to offer pieces by established figures such as Eileen Gray and Eckart Muthesius, but also to foster contemporary design and to present selected examples in its program. Naturally, the models chosen must display the kind of quality and advanced form that earns them the designation “classic”. That’s why ClassiCon is always open to new design ideas.

Victoria Wilmotte

Born in Paris in 1985, Victoria Wilmotte studied interior design there and earned a master’s in product design at the Royal College of Art in London. Back in Paris in 2008 she opened her first studio, designing for the Tools Gallery and for her first solo show, in 2009 at Pierre Bergé et Associés in Brussels.

She works like a sculptor, weighing volumes against empty space and polishing surfaces to the light and feel she seeks. For ClassiCon she designed the Pli Side Table Low and High, the Pli Table and the Piega Mirror Objects.
