Ruben de Haas

Ruben de Haas, born in 1988, is an Amsterdam artist and designer, the child of two artists, who has been a circus performer and hosted his own radio show. His first project, How Much Ink Does A Marker Contain?, set the stage for a practice known for mono-coloured artworks, collected from New York to Hong Kong, and in 2022 he was nominated for the Royal Dutch Art Prize.

For Moooi Carpets he created Mixing Pixels, reworking other designers’ carpets, from Biophillia and Bubble to Heart Donut, L’Afrique, Mooon, Scribble, Tulip and Wasp, into new designs without losing a single detail.
