Nikolai Kotlarczyk

Nikolai Kotlarczyk comes from the rainforest hinterland behind Byron Bay in New South Wales and has lived in Copenhagen. His studio works across interior product design, from decorative pieces to industrial work, united by a geometric sensibility of symmetry and balance and by architectural references. An honest palette of durable, natural materials and bold forms resists a throwaway culture.

For SP01 he developed Royce, a sculptural, compact armchair with a bird-like silhouette, with or without a headrest, from a dining chair first shown at the Stockholm Furniture Fair in 2018.
