Max Lamb

Born in 1980, Max Lamb is a British designer who applies traditional approaches and primitive materials to contemporary design. He graduated from the Royal College of Art in London in 2006, was named Designer of the Future at Design Miami/Basel in 2008, and is known for processes such as casting pewter in sand and working volcanic rock.

His Wiggle collection for Bitossi explores clay through hand engraving, a spiral metal wire scoring a wavy texture into round and square forms that recall architectural elements, as on the Wiggle Vase.
