Karl Zahn
Karl Zahn grew up among the forests and wood shops of rural Vermont and earned a degree in product design from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2003. Working as a metal fabricator on the West Coast, he first turned to lighting. He moved to Brooklyn in 2007 and spent a decade at Lindsey Adelman Studio, leaving as design director in 2019 to focus on his own work.
For Roll & Hill he designed Atlas, an illuminated glass globe with an intersecting metal armature, named for the Titan who shoulders the world, and Cora, named for the goddess Persephone.
