Fabio Bortolani & Ermanno Righi

Architect and designer Fabio Bortolani, born in Modena in 1957, lives and works in Spilamberto and has designed for Agape, Alessi and Driade, with work acquired by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. The engineer Ermanno Righi has founded research companies in advanced technology and holds more than fifteen patents in applied mechanics.

Together they designed the Dado Side Table for Serralunga, “a simplistic die that is reflected in the floor”, as Bortolani puts it, with a slot for books and magazines that drains water so it can stay outdoors all summer.
