Carlo Urbinati and Alessandro Vecchiato began their relationship with Foscarini as designers, with projects that revisit the tradition of blown glass. They went on to determine and coordinate the brand’s complete product evolution, laying the groundwork for a collection free in its ideas, its cultural references and its technological processes, and becoming authors of the Foscarini story alongside many other leading figures on the design scene.

Their Folio lamp for Foscarini restyles the thousand-year tradition of blown glass for contemporary design: a light, delicate body like a simple sheet of paper with two slightly folded corners, for ceiling and wall.
