Brian Steendyk
Brisbane designer Brian Steendyk studied architecture at QUT, then travelled on a scholarship to study in the United States and work in the Netherlands before joining The Cox Group. Wanting more than the role of project architect, he founded his multidisciplinary practice in 2002, working across architecture, landscape, product and furniture, and was named an Indesign Luminary in 2009.
Blurring the line between art and product, his Cero stool for Serralunga is an informal polyethylene seat defined by its open shape, light to move and also a footrest.
