Bell Side Table - Marble
The Bell Table is a masterpiece of traditional craftsmanship. A table base made of coloured glass and an attached metal body form a harmonious unit reminiscent of the elegant curve of a bell. In the Bell Side Table Marble, Sebastian Herkner translates the characteristic silhouette of his design into solid natural stone: five different coloured stone variants, either matt or polished, are available. The marble emphasises the sculptural character of the design, and the distinctive grain and colouring makes each table unique. The stone version looks particularly elegant with furniture and furnishings made of textile, leather, tubular steel, wood or glass, or as a contrast to the “classic” Bell Table.

ClassiCon offer modern classics that are collector’s items—not only the masterpieces of yesterday, but of tomorrow as well. ClassiCon’s collection aims to produce individual pieces of great originality and formal perfection. Displaying the kind of value that lasts, ClassiCon collection pieces are destined to become coveted investments for future generations. ClassiCon has from its inception aspired not only to offer pieces by established figures such as Eileen Gray and Eckart Muthesius, but also to foster contemporary design and to present selected examples in its program. Naturally, the models chosen must display the kind of quality and advanced form that earns them the designation “classic”. That’s why ClassiCon is always open to new design ideas.
Sebastian Herkner
Born in Bad Mergentheim, Sebastian Herkner studied product design at the HfG Offenbach, where he founded his studio in 2006, drawing inspiration from original materials and techniques. Now one of the most important designers of his generation, he was named Designer of the Year at Maison et Objet Paris in 2019 and Best International Designer at the EDIDA awards in 2021.
His Bell Table for ClassiCon, from 2012, set a metal top on a hand-blown glass base and began his international recognition, joined by the Plissee Floor Lamp, whose pleated shade is in fact hand-blown glass.
