Ronan Bouroullec

Ronan Bouroullec was born in Quimper, Brittany, in 1971, studied applied and decorative arts in Paris and founded his studio in 1995. Joined by his brother Erwan in 1998, he designed for Vitra, Kvadrat, Magis and Kartell, and together they won the Compasso d’Oro in 2011 and the London Design Medal in 2014. Working solo since 2023, he was the subject of an exhibition at the Centre Pompidou in 2024.

For B&B Italia he designed the Abaco table and armchair in 2026, which make their construction legible rather than hiding it, in combinations of wood, concrete and thick leather.
