Nipa Doshi & Jonathan Levien
Nipa Doshi & Jonathan Levien met at the Royal College of Art and founded their London studio in 2000. Doshi grew up in India and studied at the National Institute of Design, while Levien, from Scotland, trained in fine cabinet making before industrial design. Celebrating the hybrid of cultures, craft and industry, they have designed for Moroso, Kvadrat, Cappellini, Hay and Nanimarquina, and received the Future Legends of Design award in 2008.
For B&B Italia they designed the revolving Almora armchair in 2014, named after a Himalayan region of India, and in 2016 the Do-Maru armchair, inspired by samurai armour.
