In 2026, fifty-five years after its design, the Eros table receives the Compasso d'Oro Career Award for Product, XXIX edition: a recognition of the enduring validity of a constructive idea conceived in 1971. Eros marks a decisive stage in a research into furniture held together by joinery alone, without fasteners or grips: top and leg hold themselves together through the sole weight of the marble, which locks the gravity joint made possible by the truncated conical section of the leg.

Eros is more than a product, it is a system envisaged in various different forms and sizes, each with its own special embedding. The elegant design of the eyelets along the rims and corners of the table tops results from eliminate the more fragile parts, which would not have been able to withstand stress and strain: a sophisticated detail and distinctive feature of this authentic piece of structural invention.

In 2009, Agape's passion for the culture of design and the long standing collaboration with Angelo Mangiarotti, culminated in the establishment of Agapecasa, dedicated to the re-edition of the original and timeless pieces of one of the greatest masters of post-war Italian design and architecture.

Agapecasa has been trusted with exclusive production rights of the archives of Angelo Mangiarotti. The "Mangiarotti Collection" is a collection of original furniture pieces designed by Angelo Mangiarotti from the early 50s onwards: design classics, carefully tested and updated in full agreement with Studio Mangiarotti.
