CAP53

A few years after the project of the SK207 table, persuaded by the mechanical characteristics and the elevated corrosion resistance of the material, Angelo Mangiarotti returned to working with bronze. With the CAP53 vases, the ancient technique of "lost-wax" casting draws closer to its original field, the production of sculptures.

Casting and polishing celebrate the color, the brilliance and the texture of the material in an articulated vocabulary of simple yet sensual forms, derived from intuition and experimentation. The design of the vases is built on the principle that, in section, two circles of different diameter, moving along the vertical axes, can originate a great number of different objects. CAP53 is available in three versions, each of them available in a limited edition of 100 numbered copies.
