Singapore - Purchasing Executive

Purveyors of luxury lifestyle concepts, Space Furniture is a contemporary design retail store first established in Sydney, Australia more than two decades ago. Its Singapore operation is now looking for talented individuals to join the Purchasing team.

Ideal candidates for the role should have at least 3 to 5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in design-related luxury retail business. He/ She must be familiar with the aspects of purchasing, order processing and shipping role.

To be successful in this role, he/ she needs to be independent, meticulous, has an eye for details, individual who is grounded by commercial sensibilities with multi-tasking capabilities, a can-do spirit, adaptive nature.

Representing one of the most progressive design retailing brands in the region, the candidate has to be passionate and enquiring mind that constantly push the envelope.


Main Responsibilities:

• Timely processing of orders with our overseas Brand Partners
• Liaising and coordinating with them about Order Confirmation, Ex-factory lead-time and enquiries. Keep track and update of order progress
• Effect shipment of goods from respective Brand Partners to arrival warehouse
• Follow through with shortfalls, filing of product claims and negotiate with Brand Partners for an amicable solution
• Product code creation and price updates
• Play a part of Merchandising role for replacement orders

Requirements:

• Diploma Holder
• 3-5 years of related purchasing/shipping working experience is preferred.
• A team player with a pleasant personality, conscientious, self-motivated and good communication skills.
• A meticulous person and can connect the dots.
• Proficient in MS Office Excel
