A home of vibrance and nuance by Sally Caroline
On a corner block in Melbourne’s coastal enclave of Middle Park, the Panorama House by designer Sally Caroline captures sweeping bay and city views while embracing the personality of its young family inhabitants.

Richly layered and expressively detailed, the home for a family of four balances sophistication with a liveable ease. Sally Caroline’s trademark rhythm is a celebration of colour, materials and moments of joy at every turn. Coloured joinery and nuanced material shifts define each zone and flow from one space to the next. Shared family spaces are energetic and open, contrasted by the serenity of the monastic-style main bedroom and the intimacy of the bar. The sculpted kitchen island, composed of Arabescato, Brescia Green and Menta marble, anchors the interior with a sense of quiet drama, its robust form offset by muted metallics, glossy finishes and playful detailing.
Furniture and objects are curated with the same thoughtful approach. A blend of iconic and contemporary pieces amplifies, rather than overpowers, the interior’s refined sensibility. In the living room, key pieces from Space Furniture take centre stage. The Baxter Budapest sofa designed by Paola Navone in a soft pink hue, offsets the warm neutrals of this space and sits harmoniously alongside the cream upholstered Edra Chiara armchair and ottoman by Francesco Binfaré.

Awarded the 2025 Australian Interior Design Award for Residential Decoration, the Panorama House is a confident expression of Sally Caroline’s design ethos, where feeling, form and function come together in enduring harmony.
