Superstudio

Superstudio was founded in Florence in 1966 by Adolfo Natalini and Cristiano Toraldo di Francia, later joined by Roberto Magris, Gian Piero Frassinelli, Alessandro Magris and Alessandro Poli. One of the leading groups of Radical architecture, it became known for visionary projects such as the Continuous Monument of 1969 and the Supersurface, shown at MoMA in 1972.

For Poltronova it designed the Sofo sofa, cut from a cube of polyurethane, with its T01 and T02 tables, and the Ofelia photo frame and Spera and Vanitas mirrors, milled from marble offcuts; the Tappeto Sofo rug followed in 2023.
