Introducing Stellar Works
Some spaces can't be furnished, they have to be built. Hotel lobbies, hospitality fit-outs, public spaces, display suites; projects that demand more than what's off the shelf. This is where Stellar Works begins - with a blank page. Now part of our Space Commercial collection, Stellar Works meets every brief.
Milan Unpacked 2026
As the dust settles on the design world’s biggest annual gathering, More Space caught up with local designers and members of the Space team who were on the ground in Milan. Join us for our Milan Unpacked series as we look at the leading furniture, lighting and artisanal brands who have welcomed us behind the veil and into their worlds and dig into the themes and directions, designers and products that defined the year.
Giorgetti and Maserati: a design collaboration for the senses
A conversation between Giorgetti’s Giovanni del Vecchio and Klaus Busse, Maserati's head of design, over their shared passion for design and craftsmanship, has developed into a new furniture collaboration dedicated to detail and perfection and ‘elevating each other's strengths’.
Patricia Urquiola’s ‘micro architectures’ for clay powerhouse Bitossi
Storytelling, rigour and kindness are the words used by Spanish born, Milan-based designer and architect Patricia Urquiola when asked to describe the historic Bitossi Ceramiche, one of Italy’s oldest ceramics producers that first opened their workshop in 1921. This year the internationally recognised ceramic maker released their first pieces designed in collaboration wth Urquiola, a collection of 'micro architectures' inspired by construction details.
A light-filled jewel announces Space Singapore's flagship renewal by WOHA
Space Asia Hub’s Singapore flagship has received a major renovation by the award-winning team at WOHA architects that further enhances the building’s dynamic interiors, and, as Space’s CEO Leighton Clarke remarks, develops the richly layered spatial experiences allowing pieces by designers from Piero Lissoni to Patricia Urquiola to sing.
Whipbird, a house in balance with nature
When Space Atelier began a collaboration with Jayden Zernich and his award winning firm, Zerni, the approach to a new house on the Sunshine Coast by architects Minnow Studio, would take shape around soaring volumes, natural light, raw materials, fine details and timeless furniture, and create connection with the interior, the site’s natural landscape and views over the region's famous hinterland.
Welcome to the world of Space
The culture of circularity
The design industry is harnessing design circularity as a key step to reducing waste and, in turn, carbon emissions. From the Bio Componibili to the Smart Wood Collection and Camaleonda, Kartell and B&B Italia are redesigning classics using technological innovation and sustainable materials to develop collections that use the bare minimum of materials and energy.
Eternally Yours – visions on product endurance
The more a design connects with us, the more likely we are to make it part of our lives and pass it on. Buy once, buy well, is a core component of circular design thinking and central to Space’s philosophy. As Ed van Hinte remarks in the book ‘Eternally Yours: visions on product endurance’, 'Objects should somehow express that throwing them away is a crying sin at all times.'
Space's sustainability journey
Measuring the carbon footprint from energy consumption to materials across its supply chains, Space is on a sustainability journey that began with a full transport audit and the collection of product data on materials and brands. Understanding each step of a design's development will allow Space to consciously source environmental options and create a flow-on effect for industry and clients.
Pablo and Vincent Van Duysen go outdoors
Known for his sophisticated restraint across architecture, interiors and furniture, Vincent Van Duysen’s new Pablo Outdoor collection for B&B Italia delivers solidity and strength within a calm, relaxed form.
Luxury personified
With an award-winning design team and one of Sydney's best locations, the new Opera Residences is a significant contemporary addition to Sydney's skyline. Embracing views to the Sydney Opera House and The Royal Botanic Gardens, the building's softly sculptural form responds to the beauty found in the surrounding landscape.

Architect Roberto Palomba makes you feel at home
Roberto Palomba’s relationship with Kartell began on an escalator in Moscow, where a chance encounter with Claudio Luti was the starting point for their lasting creative relationship. That partnership is underpinned by quality, material research and evolution, and each product shaped by the philosophy of design for life.
