Designer Studio Job, that created L’Afrique Carpet for Moooi in 2015, approved for his design to be used for a new collection by Ruben. During the creation of this new design, no information is lost. All the details and elements are still there, just in another shape. The Mixing Pixels Carpets come with a video that show the process from the previous rug to the new one. That way anyone who is curious, can discover the original design that they are made from.

Known for thinking outside the box, Moooi have taken things a step further with their latest project, Moooi Carpets. Moooi has always been about bringing additional beauty to people's lives by decorating homes, offices, hotel rooms and restaurants with iconic and innovative pieces of furniture and lighting. Their latest venture, Moooi Carpets, is set to be no different with the brand turning their successful rug range into a fully fledged flooring business. The Moooi Carpet collection is rich and refined, boasting an extensive range of unique, iconic and breathtaking designs. As well as collaborating with big name designers (the likes of Front, Bertjan Pot, Marcel Wanders and Studio Job have all presented designs as part of the brand's first collection), possibly the most exciting part of Moooi Carpets is the ability for anyone to design a rug and have it manufactured, regardless of size, scale or specification.

Studio Job

Studio Job is Job Smeets and Nynke Tyagel who met while studying at the Eindhoven Design Academy in The Netherlands. In 1997 they set up Studio Job in Antwerp where they work across projects for Royal Tichelsaar, Swarovski, Bisazza and Moooi, as well as many private commissions for individuals and galleries. Their work is characterised by a strong narrative that bridges art and design and involves collaborations with craftspeople from stained glass artists, to ceramicists and carpenters.
