Studio Pastina

Studio Pastina is a design studio founded in Rome by Domenico Santoro and Francesca Puddu, who trained in industrial design and architecture and have taught product design at IED. Its work has won Red Dot, German Design, Good Design and DNA Paris awards and has been exhibited at the Venice Biennale and the MAXXI in Rome.

The studio designs for brands including Midj, Horm, Calia Italia and Chairs & More. For Billiani it designed Bold in 2021, generously proportioned upholstered seating whose tall seat takes its form from traditional French macarons and rests on a painted steel ring.
