Mario Marenco

Mario Marenco is an Italian architect and designer. From 1957-61 he undertook 4 research scholarships in the USA. Form 1961-70 he had a studio in Rome from where he produced Comfortline products and Carwash service stations. In 1971 having his own studio in Milan, he began working with brands including Arflex, Artemide, Bernini, Poltrona Frau, Living, B&B Italia, Swan and Naos on a variety of design projects. He has designed exhibition spaces as a consultant to car brands including Alfa Romeo, Lancia and Fiat and the moved on to furniture.  One of the his most cult products is the softly billowing Marenco sofa, which continues to be a best-selling reissue for the Italian furniture brand Arflex.
