Lomazzi
Paolo Lomazzi was born in Milan in 1936, studied at the Athenaeum in Lausanne, where he met Alberto Sartoris, and trained at the BBPR studio in Milan. In 1966 he founded a studio with Jonathan De Pas and Donato D’Urbino, believing that objects must relate to their users and be easy to use. With D’Urbino he received a Compasso d’Oro for his career in 2018.
For Poltronova he co-designed the Joe armchair of 1970 and the Cessato Allarme coat stand, and with D’Urbino the Joe Ball pouf for Joe’s fiftieth anniversary and the Tappeto Stella e Stellina rug.
