The studio Opera Work in Progress was founded in 1990 by Mario Dell’Orto, Emanuela Garbin and Enrico Cattaneo, who brought together the different experiences they had matured in the same professional environment with a shared goal: to answer the needs of the furniture sector in a complete and specialised way. The studio’s activity ranges from development strategies and communication to industrial design and the design and refurbishment of shops and exhibitions, including art direction for companies.

In the design field the studio has created many important models: armchairs, sofas, beds, storage units and complements signed by Opera Work in Progress are produced by prestigious companies, and many have been awarded at exhibitions and prizes in Italy and abroad. For shops and exhibitions the studio defines the strategy, image and communication of each project and organises the activities that promote the space itself.
