Jaime Hayon was born in Madrid in 1974 and grew up surrounded by the distinct style of the skateboarding and graffiti art culture. After studying industrial design in Madrid and Paris, he worked for Fabrica under the guidance of Oliverio Toscani, before establishing his own independent design brand, Hayon Studio. Hayon is driven to find new challenges and perspectives, blurring the line between art, decoration and design. His work is characterised by a finely-crafted and intricate style, bound in his passion for conserving craft skills. His striking and iconic work style has led to collaborations with Baccarat, Bisazza, Cassina, Fritz Hansen, Established & Sons and Moooi.
