Billiani
Marilyn 7C34
Graziella and Renzo Fauciglietti took their inspiration from the pop idol par excellence when designing a collection focusing on being recognisable. The soft, gentle lines make Marilyn a comfortable chair, and even more so in the small armchair version with the curved back. The chair is easy to place. The wooden versions are perfect for socialising and eating together, while the versions with a metal base are more contemporary and therefore more corporate in style.

Billiani
We have produced wooden chairs in Italy for over a century, in a region of small specialized workshops where the culture of wood has deep roots.
The Billiani company was founded in 1911 to produce chairs in curved wood with caning. In 2019 Cristina Celestino, an architect and designer based in Milan, was appointed as the company’s artistic director. The chair is still a central focus, as is the material: wood, the true leitmotif of the collection.
Graziella and Renzo Fauciglietti
Graziella and Renzo Fauciglietti both studied at the furniture art institute in Cantù. Renzo, born in Biella in 1941, then studied engineering in Switzerland, while Graziella taught technical and artistic subjects. In 1986 they founded Studio Ok, followed in 1989 by Fauciglietti Engineering, their research and development centre in Cantù.
They have designed chairs for Frag, Segis and Fornasarig, earned Compasso d’Oro mentions and in 2025 their studio was the subject of a monograph by Giampiero Bosoni. For Billiani they designed Marilyn in 2017, soft-lined chairs, armchairs and stools inspired by the pop idol par excellence.
