Tactile Armchair
The Tactile armchair and quilted sofa collection showcases the tangible properties of leather with a statuesque design that gives the products a museum-like appearance and underlines Vincenzo De Cotiis' close attention to detail. Like sculptures with enveloping lines, the armchair and sofa are deconstructed, broken down into their constituent parts to form separate components that dialogue in a balanced combination of volumes. The seat and backrest therefore become independent elements, only touching each other where stability is required and further differentiated by the double quilting. A decoration that emphasises the majesty and uniqueness of the individual piece which, taking centre stage, elevates the style and personality of any space.

Baxter
Launched in Italy on January 1990, Baxter is the combination of experience and passion, a sense for business, a desire not to follow the rules, and the spirit and feeling evoked by the Made in Italy philosophy. Describing Baxter as “the story of encounters, ideas, but above all of people”, founders Luigi Bestetti and his nephew Paolo Bestetti began their journey towards the contemporary by pursuing "the freest expressiveness”.
Vincenzo De Cotiis
Vincenzo De Cotiis was born in Gonzaga, Lombardy, in 1958 and is an artist and architect based in Milan, where he studied architecture at the Politecnico and founded his studio and gallery in 1997. His work moves between sculpture, architecture and functional art, often in recycled fibreglass, Murano glass and cast metal.
He received the Elle Deco International Design Award for Best Interior Designer of the Year in 2021 and has redesigned Burberry’s flagship stores in London and Paris. For Baxter he designed the Tactile sofa and armchair and the Fold sofa.
