New Kartell

The Kartell Wood collection, says designer Philippe Starck, is 'light and timeless, a useful piece of high-tech nature.’ On show in Milan for Kartell's In/Casa installation that featured new designs made from 95% sustainable materials, the innovative range includes the P/Wood and Q/Wood chairs, the Earl of Wood desk, Adam Wood bookcase, the Viscount of Wood table and Al Wood side table. While the AI stool also designed by Starck is made from recycled material with a focus on comfort.

Joining the collection are new pieces by Piero Lissoni and Patricia Urquiola. The Thierry occasional tables designed by Lissoni are inspired by colour, their jewel-like finish a balanced composition of vivid tones that can be specified individually. The Charla and Lunam collection + Undique by Patricia Urquiola combines soft forms and elegant lines, with the Charla including legs made from recycled plastic. While Urquiola describes the Lunam as inspired by 'the dreamy atmosphere of a lunar landscape'. The collection’s painted metal structure supports generous upholstered sections with the sofa, armchair and ottoman finished in soft bouclé fabric.

The collections are part of Kartell’s catalogue that can now be disassembled and fully recycled.
