The Tatou pendant lamp by Patricia Urquiola draws inspiration from the antique Samurai armour. With a form that is strong yet light and flexible, Tatou adds a dynamic flair to the living space.
The name Tatou is derived from the French word ÒarmadilloÓ, where the creatureÕs protective shell gives shape to the outer shell of this pendant lamp. Its structure is built from four identical pieces that are interwoven to form a dome-like shade to diffuse direct light either upwards or downwards. The shade also allows light to pass through the weave, casting an intricate pattern on surrounding surfaces. Also available as table or floor lamps and comes in white, black or grey finishes.
