After completing his architecture studies in 1991, Miki Astori started working with Antonia Astori as an interior designer. In 1992 he moved to Paris where he began collaborating with Philippe Starck and took part in several projects for Kartell, Flos, and Driade, as well as the development of Hi Fi components for the Thomson Group. In 1995 he established his own studio in Milan, mainly operating in the fields of furniture design, interior design and architecture. In the same year he contributed to the creation of the Atlantide collection for Driade. Since then, he has been constantly collaborating with Driade, dealing with design, graphics and interior architecture. Among raw materials, he prefers natural fibres like rattan, wood and iron which he usually combines to reach simple and clearly designed structures. He develops system solutions in the area of kitchen programmes and storage systems and he enlarges his activities while working on interiors and architecture.
