Marco Zanuso was an Italian architect and designer, born in Milan in 1916. Graduating from architecture at the Polytechnic in Milan, Zanuso opened his own studio in 1945, greatly contributing to the future of architecture and design. Producing architecture, urban, industrial and furniture design, he was also the editor of architecture magazines Domus and Casabella. His more experimental pieces of furniture gained him international acclaim and countless design awards. The Museum of Modern Art in New York has numerous Zanuso designs in their permanent collection, while his architecture can be found across the world.
