The CH24 Wishbone Chair is perhaps Hans J. Wegner's most celebrated work, an excellent example of the designer's constant strife towards achieving organic simplicity, comfort and stability in his designs.
Inspired by ancient Chinese armchairs, Wishbone Chair features a characteristic "Y" that provides comfortable back support and stability to the steam_bent top that offers a variety of comfortable seating positions. It takes a skilled craftsman about one hour to hand-weave the seat with approximately 120 metres of durable paper cord and more than 100 steps to make one chair. It has been in continuous production since 1950.
